26 February 2008

Special purpose development company The Compendium Group is set to start work later this month (February) on the £29 million second phase of a large-scale regeneration programme at Weston Coyney, Stoke-on-Trent.

Compendium – which has been formed by housing regeneration specialists Lovell and the Riverside Group – is building new homes and refurbishing other existing houses at the former National Coal Board estate through a major regeneration programme which is the first to be commissioned by Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder RENEW North Staffordshire.

In the second phase of the Weston Heights scheme, Compendium will build 230 new homes for sale, shared ownership and rent both for new and existing residents. The start of work on the second phase, follows Compendium’s successful delivery of the 52-home first phase. The overall regeneration programme is set for completion in 2012.
